Writing Log, Day 3

Day 3 of my weeklong quest to do something writing related everyday and track it, is  going great! (Day 2, not so great.) So here’s the report.

Day 2

  1. Read 20 pages of Stephen King’s On Writing. Pretty good for a lunch break. He has some very inspiring thoughts on writing. And some long examples. Had to do some sifting.
  2. Read Ranger Ingermanson’s July Advanced Fiction Writing Ezine, and his friends blog about email management. Good info. I didn’t follow the bunny trail to Michael Hyatt’s blog on the same subject. But I do enjoy his blog, too.

Day 3

  1. Edited 3 pages over lunch. I had to delete a scene and rewrite a lot of it, so it took me longer than I expected. But I’m getting into the middle of my book where it needs more work than just a polish. I was bummed that it was only 3 pages, since I zipped through 15 pages in my last lunch hour writing session. But my friend said she’d be happy to do 3 pages in an hour. When you put it that way, it sounds a log better! Thanks, Kel. 🙂
  2. At home I finished the scene and Chapter 5! Feeling pretty good about myself now. Now time to move on to Chapter 6. 🙂
