Day 3 of my weeklong quest to do something writing related everyday and track it, is going great! (Day 2, not so great.) So here’s the report.
Day 2
- Read 20 pages of Stephen King’s On Writing. Pretty good for a lunch break. He has some very inspiring thoughts on writing. And some long examples. Had to do some sifting.
- Read Ranger Ingermanson’s July Advanced Fiction Writing Ezine, and his friends blog about email management. Good info. I didn’t follow the bunny trail to Michael Hyatt’s blog on the same subject. But I do enjoy his blog, too.
Day 3
- Edited 3 pages over lunch. I had to delete a scene and rewrite a lot of it, so it took me longer than I expected. But I’m getting into the middle of my book where it needs more work than just a polish. I was bummed that it was only 3 pages, since I zipped through 15 pages in my last lunch hour writing session. But my friend said she’d be happy to do 3 pages in an hour. When you put it that way, it sounds a log better! Thanks, Kel. 🙂
- At home I finished the scene and Chapter 5! Feeling pretty good about myself now. Now time to move on to Chapter 6. 🙂
More like weeklong quest to make me feel bad about not being productive :-p
Congrats and keep it up!
